New Beginnings.
Hello, hello. So, I've started uni this week, at Taylor's University and I'm taking Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Architecture. Classes haven't started yet, orientation has been going on, and will start on Thursday, so looking forward to that.
Yesterday, Monday, was day 1 of orientation. One of the talks I listened to was by the program director of BSc in Arc, and I think I'm going to enjoy studying architecture. Why? Because he talked about forms and feelings as well as purpose. How, a certain design of a building has to have a purpose, not only a function, but aesthetically. Why it should be there, why design something this certain way and not a different way, what feelings does this design evoke. I found these things really interesting.
I also took my student ID photo yesterday. No idea how I look like. Let's hope I don't look like a freak because that photo is going to stick with me for the next 3 years (crosses fingers).
Today, we were introduced to the Orientation Leaders, the Student Council, and a few other important people in the university that help provide the best student experience for us. Tomorrow, we'll be meeting with our lecturers and seniors, maybe collect my student ID if it's ready. ( please let my student photo be decent)
Anyways, here's to new beginnings and challenges and the sleepless nights and joys of uni life.
