CHANGING THE GAME
So, I came across this video about the redesign of the crutches, and as a post-user of crutches, I would know about the ups and downs of them. I've used both the armpit crutch and the elbow crutch and I have to say the new M+D crutches look really, really good and seems really promising in terms of functionality and problem solving of the past design of the crutches.
The first type of crutches I used is the armpit crutch and the day I stepped into the physiotherapy room, my physiotherapist told me to change to the elbow crutches asap. Why? Because the amount of pressure you put onto your armpits will cause this thing known as nerve pinching. I didn't use the armpit crutches for very long, but one thing was for sure, I was feeling the amount of pressure I put onto my shoulders and arms because every day I would wake up feeling sore. Secondly, not long after I switched to the elbow crutches, I started to occasionally feel a slight pinching feeling, a slight sharp pain under my armpits. That feeling came and went for about a week or two. Thankfully, that only lasted a while.
The elbow crutches are definitely much better in comparison with the armpit crutches, HOWEVER, there are a few downsides. Firstly, because the bottom legs are covered with rubber and has a flat end, yes, they serve as suctions, however it is very easy to slip against slippery or wet floor. I've had a few slips in which thankfully I did not fall but these occasional slips did sometimes force me to put weight on my injured leg, and also gave me a mini heart attack. (jokes, but it did feel like that) Secondly, it was very hard to move my forearm if I needed to as the handle around my forearm was always in the way. Third, I was constantly putting pressure onto my wrists because they were now my main area of support, besides my uninjured leg.

I really hope this new design starts selling soon because it would definitely help a lot of people avoid the problems that I and other users went through.
